The government directed the investigation of the complaints of Yemenis residing in Saudi Arabia regarding the imposition of high fees in exchange for conducting Corona examinations in preparation for their return inside.
The Deputy Prime Minister and Chairman of the Supreme National Emergency Committee, Salem Al-Khonbashi, had assigned the delegate of the Consulate General in Jeddah, Khaled Hizam, in coordination with the Saudi side to carry out the necessary examinations, after Saudi Arabia refused to conduct free checks.
But Yemenis stuck in Saudi Arabia, whose number is 400, accused the Yemeni consulate of contracting a laboratory that performs checks at double prices, amounting to one thousand three hundred Saudi riyals, while the cost of the examination is less than half the amount.
The activists released pictures showing the Saudi security forces on the center’s gate this morning, before it was later announced closed and the personnel in charge of it were presented for investigation.
It is mentioned that the consulate denied earlier, that its representative in Sharurah had entered into an agreement with any hospital or medical center to conduct medical examinations.
